Smart Start Archery's system is right on target!
To whom it may concern: I have had the pleasure of observing Mr. Boleska and his associate Larry Kelly introduce the Smart Start Archery Program to our physical education classes at Strathcona High School. They spent the day working with male and female students in grades 10 through 12. It is my pleasure to comment on their character, capabilities and the quality of the program.
I was very much impressed with their methods of instruction and quality of equipment. It is very apparent that Larry Kelly and Paul Boleska are more than expert archers. They are able to introduce the sport of archery in a manner that includes all aspects of the sport from safety, to high level competition. Using state of the art equipment, combined with a very unique introduction program, the majority of the students became quite proficient by the end of the class.
Students were requesting more time on the range, as it can be a very addicting sport. I have been an archer for many years, have instructed at the elementary, junior and senior high school level. I have also gone to other facilities that provide instruction to school groups. Without a doubt, the Smart Start Archery Program is an excellent one! With their portable back stops and target butts, they are able to come to your school and provide professional instruction in a very safe environment.
I make this reference with confidence that this program will provide you and your students with a very solid introduction to the timeless sport of archery. If you require any further reference or information about the program offered to our physical education classes please feel free to contact me. Smart Start Archery's set up was very professional and convenient. By having them come out to the
school and set up in our gymnasium, we were able to accommodate all of our PE 20 and 30
classes. The students and staff enjoyed their lessons and we are sure to have them back again.

Dear Paul and Larry,
I want to thank you again for coming to our school. The Smart Start Archery program
was a huge success for our grade six and junior high students. You are a fabulous team!
The instruction, equipment and safety features were excellent. All staff involved
mentioned numerous times how thorough and respectful the instruction was. A few students
(and staff members) mentioned being nervous prior to using the equipment, but with your
instruction and encouragement they were completely enthralled after the first arrow. I
wish we had a picture of their faces! I asked the students to write down their impressions
of the archery lesson, here are some of their comments.
Archery is the most excellent sport I have ever done. George-Grade7
I liked Archery when I had to use lost of strength. I was so suprised
that I could almost hit the bull's eye on my first try. That was a great
adventure of Archery for me. Meika-Grade6
I liked it because shooting at the bull's eye was challenging and safe!!! Connor-Grade6
I was impressed with my shooting. Mukhujjal-Grade7
I really liked it when we had that competition and all the new modern equipment
you had. Tyler-Grade7
I like Archery because we got to shoot some arrows, I'm getting better at targeting
and I got a bull's eye. Finally I like join the Archery club. Timon-Grade6
It was so much fun of how you shoot the arrows and it's awsome to try something new
that you never tried before! Mehrdad-Grade7
I loved how the arrow went flying when I was going to shoot it in the target it made
a loud sound like fireworks. Student-Grade7
Thanks for teaching me archery even if I had the Butterfly's at the beginning it
was very challenging. Alanna-Grade7
The kids are the real endorsement of your program. The students all gained an appreciation
for the sport. We will definitely make Smart Start Archery part of our physical education
program.
Sincerely,
